Are you interested in real wilderness and being in the fantastic nature? Sweden can be your perfect answer. The forests are huge, as they cover around 70% of the country. Besides, the country has a lovely capital.

Stockholm is the most famous city in Sweden and also lovely to discover. The city holds around 1 million inhabitants of the 10.7 million of the country. Sweden is part of Scandinavia and is located in the north of Europe. 

I have travelled several times here, but most very very short, but in May 2026 I spend a week here and I saw more of the country. Travelling in May is a great time, as it is not very hot to do some hikes and there are no mosquitoes yet. I went by rental car in central Sweden.

The country is a treasure for people who enjoy nature and its wildlife. If you want to feel all by yourself in the gorgeous nature with chances of seeing moose, deer, and other wildlife surrounded by gorgeous trees, moss, and lakes. Heading towards Sweden will be a thrilling experience, and you can end in Stockholm if you want to, to end the the time in nature with a comfortable city.
